Garanti BBVA Surpasses Expectations in Q2 Profit

Garanti BBVA reported a net profit of 21.84 billion TL for the second quarter of 2024, exceeding expectations of 19.2 billion TL by 14%. The bank’s return on equity for the first half of the year was 43.2%, and its return on assets was 3.7%. Additionally, the non-performing loan ratio decreased from 2.1% at the end of 2023 to 1.9% by the end of June 2024.
